Raizy Fried's
Moonmist Kitchen

A custom inset kitchen in Sherwin-Williams Moonmist, designed in-house, built in Decora, finished in unlacquered brass.

The Brief

A quiet, daylit kitchen that feels like a room — not a workspace.

Raizy wanted something soft and serious at once — a working kitchen that could host a holiday and still feel calm at 7am. We drew it around a single custom color, a long furniture-grade island, and a stacked wall of glass-fronted uppers that lifts the eye to the ceiling. Every door is true inset, hand-fit into its frame.

Specifications

What this kitchen is made of.

Every material in this room was specified and drawn in-house. The cabinetry is Decora Custom, hand-finished in a Sherwin-Williams color we mixed for this project and call Moonmist.

Moonmist sits between a Wedgwood blue and a true dove gray. In morning light it reads almost lavender; by afternoon it pulls toward a soft hydrangea. We chose it because it holds its temperature against brass without ever shouting — the kitchen never tips into cute.

The Process

We filmed the whole build.
